Forsyth Park Family Session

I loved working with this sweet family on their downtown Savannah portrait session! Brianna is a fellow photographer, so she knows just how hard it is to get great photos of your whole family when you’re always the one behind the camera! I think it’s so important to always be intentional about getting in photos with your kids because you never get these sweet days back. :-)

This beautiful trio traveled into town for their session and we met up at Forsyth Park. Forsyth is such a great, iconic spot to grab photos, as it’s sort of the central “hub” in downtown Savannah. It’s always fun to see all of the unique personalities in the park and interesting things going on. Let’s just say, if you’re in Savannah, it’s a great place to people watch!

I absolutely LOVE the color scheme Brianna chose for her family to wear! If you’re preparing for a session, keep in mind that light, pastel colors photograph beautifully, especially with my style of photography (light and airy). Neutral colors that are lighter also work well (white, off-white, tan, gray, etc.). It’s also a great idea to add in a print here or there, just as Brianna did with her floral dress. If you have a smaller group (2-3 people) you might want to stick with just one person in a print, whereas in larger groups (4 people +) you could have more than one person with a print.

Sweet little Millie is just 2 years old and was such a little angel during our session! She was just so precious to photograph. :-)

Brianna had not had an updated headshot in a while, so we had to snag a few new ones while we were there! She was looking gooooorgeous!!!
