Savannah Wedding Photographer | Jessica & Jim

December wedding in Savannah

I’m excited to share Jessica and Jim’s beautiful winter wedding on the blog today! These two are one of the sweetest, most laid-back couples I have worked with. They used a gorgeous color palette, fitting for a wedding taking place right before Christmas. Carlson’s Premier Events did an amazing job at styling the affair and making sure the day ran smoothly. From working with Jessica and Jim, it was so apparent just how important family is to them and I love how they incorporated them into their big day. Here are a few of my favorite images!Wedding invitation, winter wedding Wedding dress on white chapelThe florals were courtesy of Joann’s Florist— they always do such a beautiful job!Wedding bouquet, wedding ringsOne of my favorite parts of the wedding day is watching the bride’s mother as her daughter gets ready for the big event. :-) Mother of the brideJessica and Jim chose to exchange letters before their First Look. It was so sweet to watch them in their nervous excitement to see one another!Bride and groom exchanging letters Bride and Groom's First Look Bride and Groom's First LookI just have to say that the whole bridal party were TROOPERS. December is so hit or miss with the weather here in Savannah, but that particular day happened to be COLD. And not just cold, but windy as well! Here I was in a winter coat and these guys were out there shivering!!! We worked quickly to grab the shots and took breaks in between to warm up inside. :-)Wedding party in front of white chapel in Savannah Bride and groom, Savannah weddingJim’s groomsmen were something else. ;-) They were definitely one of the most fun group of guys I have worked with at a wedding! I love watching a group of friends that have such a good time together!Groomsmen Savannah weddingSuch a beautiful group of ladies!! We chose to do most of the portraits outside of the chapel because, well, it’s a CUTE WHITE CHAPEL. When I saw her in front of the window I just knew I had to grab this shot and envisioned it in black and white. Bridal portrait black and white White chapel wedding in SavannahWedding Ceremony in Savannah

And they’re married!!!Wedding ceremony in SavannahThis shot was fun. They had a smaller ceremony so we were able to grab a group shot of everyone there after the wedding! Wedding Guests celebrating after weddingThese next couple of shots turned out to be some of Jessica’s most treasured moments from her wedding day. She had some grandparents that were unable to attend the occasion due to health issues, but thanks to technology they were each able to see her on her wedding day and be a part of the celebration! Just a couple of weeks after the wedding her Grandpa passed away, and then not too long after that, one of her Grandma’s passed as well. It’s moments like these that make photos so special and remind me the importance of why I do what I do.Bride showing off dress to Grandma Bride and Groom in SavannahCarlson’s Premier Events did a wonderful job with the reception tables! I loooove me some rustic chic lanterns, so these centerpieces were a fav of mine. :-)Wedding reception table centerpieces Wedding cake and table decor Shoe game at wedding receptionThank you both so much for allowing me to be a part of your big day– it was such an honor!
