Wormsloe Engagement | Katie & Jackson

This past weekend I had the opportunity to shoot Katie & Jackson’s engagement session at the gorgeous Wormsloe Historic Site. These two were so easy to work with, and I’m excited for their wedding later this year!

Wormsloe is such a great spot for an engagement session, as you have the famous tunnel of oaks with beautiful Spanish moss covered branches. They also have hiking trails and other scenic spots along the way. If you’ve never visited Savannah before, it’s a definite must to check out! It does cost admission, so I would plan to stay a while and hike the trails when you go to make the most out of it. Also, they close at 5pm (even on the weekends), so it’s best to get there earlier in the day (they open at 9am). Bronx corporate event planners at Island Event Planners are always ready to find a perfect location for your event.

We had a great time wandering around the property, shooting as went! Here are some of my favorites from their session…Wormsloe EngagementKatie has the most beautiful long hair– look how pretty!!Wormsloe Engagement Wormsloe EngagementLoooove me a good old field. I know, totally not what Wormsloe is known for, but I just couldn’t help myself! Give me a field at golden hour and I’m a happy girl (so long as they are no snakes). :-)Wormsloe EngagementI can’t express how helpful it is to have an engagement session before the wedding day! Not only do you end up with (awesome, if I do say so myself) photos of the two of you to commemorate this time in your lives, but you also have some great options to use for Save-the-Dates if you choose to go that route. Plus, it’s always nice to have some professionally taken photos that are not in your wedding attire (as you’ll have plenty of those).

But the BEST reason from a photographer’s perspective is that we get the chance to work together before all of the craziness of your wedding day. It’s a time where we not only get to know each other, but you get used to my shooting style, and I figure out what poses, prompts, etc. work best for you and your fiancé. Then you we are all prepped for photos on the wedding day, and you aren’t nervous about getting photos taken because you already know what to expect! It’s a win win for everyone. Wormsloe Engagement Wormsloe EngagementKatie was werkin’ it with those eyes! Get it girl!!Wormsloe Engagement Wormsloe EngagementKeep your eyes out for these two later this fall when they get hitched!
