With 2010 almost over, I wanted to give a re-cap of what happened this year with my business and share some of my favorite pics from throughout the year. For those of you who don’t know my background story, let me give a brief synopsis (I’ll do a full post with more details later). I spent the first half of the year working a full-time job in an elementary school and 2nd shooting for another wedding photographer. I did a few portrait clients on my own in the Spring as I had time, and then took my business full-time in June. I spent the summer booking weddings (mostly for 2011), shooting engagement sessions for the weddings I booked, 2nd shooting weddings, and also doing portrait sessions for families and seniors in high school. June through October was BUSY. Not that I didn’t expect it to be since that is peak photography season here in the mid-west, but there were many weeks where I don’t even want to begin to count how many hours were put in. I LOVE my job and am so thankful that I have this opportunity to do something that I really, truly enjoy.

When I sat down to pick out some of my favorite images from the year I didn’t realize just how hard it would be! I found myself wanting to pick several from every session and event, but restrained myself so that this would not be the longest blog post on earth. :-) As I looked through each image in this post I am reminded of how much I have learned and grown throughout this year as a photographer. If you’ve been following my blog for any length of time you will probably recognize many of these pictures.
