2×12 Project: April 2012

April was, let’s just say, a very BUSY month. Looking ahead on my calendar I can already see that the summer month’s are going to be even more busy, which is exactly why I’ve made sure to mark out certain days as “do nothing/spend time with family and friends” days. I’ve learned over the past couple of years that those are very much needed when you run your own business. It can be so easy to say “yes” to everything and have no time for yourself/your spouse/kids, etc. This year I’m working to change that. :-)

Ok, enough about that, here’s what went on in April…

  • Got to spend Easter with family that lives up in Noblesville (fun times)
  • Griffin, one of our cats, had to have half of his teeth pulled and I became his cat nurse (long story, but he was a stray and had horrible teeth/gums that got infected); he’s doing great now, but it was a stressful couple of days for me. :-)
  • Shot my first ever promo video for the main website with Handlebar Studios (can’t wait to see it and share with you!)
  • I participated in the 30 Hour Famine with our youth group at church (hard, but totally worth it)
  • Shot several sessions, some with friends I hadn’t seen in a while
  • I got to meet and photograph Tim Tebow when he came to speak at Cincinnati Christian University! (Highlight of the month)
  • 2nd shot a wedding with one of my good photographer friends (so fun)
I’m excited for May, yet nervous at the same time because it’s my birthday month and I’m not ready to be another year older yet!!!
P.S.- If you’re just tuning in and wondering what my 2×12 Project is, you can read about it here.

This month’s photo was taken at the promo video shoot. Thanks Stephanie!
