With tomorrow being the end of November I have all of a sudden come to the realization just how soon the baby is going to be here! Ahhhh. 15 weeks all of a sudden seems like such a short amount of time!!!
Here’s what went on this past month:
- Finished up the Fall season with a couple of Fall-ish parties and enjoyed the last days of “warm” weather for the year.
- Reunited with some of our local photography friends after taking several months off from our monthly get-togethers. Always love seeing them!
- Took a little trip with just the two of us (or three if you count the baby) that didn’t involve going to see family. Don’t get me wrong– we love getting to see our family, but we wanted to spend some time together just as a couple before Baby Davis arrives since our lives will be changing so drastically!
- I went to our Women’s Retreat at our church, which I had the opportunity to be on the planning team for. It was awesome!
- Traveled to Michigan for Thanksgiving with James’ side of the family (which is where our 2×12 photo was taken). It was so fun to see grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins that we hadn’t see for a while! We also enjoyed some AWESOME weather on Thanksgiving Day (especially for being that far north)! When we were there for Thanksgiving a couple of years ago I recall snow, ice, big winter coats, and almost freezing to death (maybe a small exaggeration on the last part). :-)
- Had our 24 week doctor’s appointment and everything is looking great for the baby! My tummy had been measuring a little bit behind last month (most likely due to my constant sickness), but this month it measured right on target. The heartbeat is sounding nice and strong!
- I enjoyed getting back into cooking now that I can stand smells so much more and am not getting sick near as often! I feel like I’m pretty much back to eating “normal” now, which feels so good. I wish I could say I’ve had some crazy cravings, but that just hasn’t happened (yet)!
I feel like I’m probably the only person that doesn’t have their Christmas decorations up yet, but I plan to at least get the tree up this next week! This year we may just be going a more “simple” decorating route, but I’m totally ok with that because at this point I would rather nap than do anything else. In fact, I think that’s about to happen right now… ;-)
