3×12 Project: February 2014

Sooooo I admit, I am running a little behind on this post! February seemed like such a busy month, but then again they all seem that way, so I guess I really have no excuse. :-) We hosted James’ parents for a couple of weeks in the middle of the month, which was a lot of fun. Jack loved having Uma and Grampy here to play with!

The weather was off and on, but despite the gloomy days here and there, we got to also enjoy a good bit of warm, sunshine-filled days, which we are SO not used to! Being from the Midwest we have always known February to be cold, cold, and also, COLD. We watched from a distance as our friends and family in the “northern” states dealt with one of the hardest winters they’ve had in a long time. I would be lying if I said that James and I didn’t give each other a high five every time we went outside in February and it was warm and sunny! (You know you would too if you lived down here). :-)

February also marked the last month of Jack’s first year. We reminisced about how much has changed since he was born and how much he has grown over the past year. I will admit, I spent many evenings planning and thinking about what I wanted to do for his first birthday party (I’ll be sharing more about that on here soon)! At 11 months old, he was into EVERYTHING. Crawling all over like a madman, getting into cabinets, “walking” around holding on to furniture, showing lots of emotion and personality!

This month’s photo is a selfie we took while playing at the neighborhood playground (although I guess it should technically be called a “groupie” since it involves multiple people). Jack really began enjoying going to the playground in February, even though he is still on the young side to do a lot there. He loves sliding down the slide, playing at the bottom of the slide, and trying to sneak handfuls of mulch in his mouth. Oh, and he also loves to weave in and out of the bike rack. It’s basically a baby jungle gym.

Processed with VSCOcam with b5 presetP.S.- Totally an iphone photo this time around. Don’t judge– it’s what I always have on me to take pics with!
