February was unfortunately another month with a lot of morning sickness in it for me. :-( Although, let’s be honest– whoever made up the name “morning sickness” apparently never had it because it lasts all day for some of us! With this pregnancy mine was actually worst in the evening, which made for some interesting dinner times and bed times.
While I was sick off and on throughout the month, I was able to begin to get out and do more things. As long as I made sure to constantly snack on food throughout the day and took my medicine, I could manage going out and about, especially in the morning and early afternoon. We had already planned a trip to Florida for February to visit James’ sister, brother-in-law, and our niece and nephew, so we decided to stick with it even though I wasn’t feeling the best. I knew if there was any place other than home where I would be comfortable, it would be with family.
We had a great time on our visit and really enjoyed catching up with the fam! James’ mom was also able to come down from Michigan and join us during that time, so that was great. My sister-in-law lives just minutes from Disney World, so although we did not officially “do” Disney this trip, we did visit downtown Disney and a few of the resorts. I always enjoy walking around Disney property and seeing all of the cool stuff! I think in the next year or two we will have to plan an “actual” Disney trip when Jack will really enjoy it. On our way home from Orlando, we made a pit stop in Jacksonville for me to shoot an engagement session. We decided to check out the Jacksonville Zoo while we were in town, and it was awesome!
