3×12 Project: September 2013

Having grown up in the Midwest, September usually marks the time to get out the boots, sweaters, and pumpkin scented candles! Wellllll, not quite this year. Considering the fact that it has still felt like summer through the end of September (and beginning of October), the only “Fall-ish” thing out in our house right now is a pumpkin scented candle! It’s definitely different not seeing the leaves on the trees changing colors, but I can’t complain because it is still nice enough out to go to the beach!

At the beginning of September we celebrated Jack’s 6 month birthday (where has the time gone?!?) and watched him change into such a big boy throughout the month! He can now sit up unassisted, loves to stand (holding on to something), eats baby food/bite size food, and LOVES to pet the cats. No interest in crawling yet, although Mama is totally fine with that, as I know it will come soon enough and I’ll be chasing him all over. :-)

September ended up being a great month for us to get out and do touristy things around town. We strolled around downtown Savannah, ate at our favorite restaurant on River Street (One Eyed Lizzy’s), took a stroll around Forsyth Park, and toured the historic Bonaventure Cemetery. We also of course had to make a couple of beach trips to Tybee Island and Hilton Head. At the end of the month I got to shoot a gorgeous destination wedding in downtown Savannah that I’ll be posting on here soon!

Here’s to possible boot wearing in October (or realistically maybe November)!

This month’s photo was taking after a beach photo session I had in Hilton Head. Thanks to my friend Jess for snapping this for us!
