James and I recently shot this beautiful wedding on the campus of DePauw University for Rich at Bradbury Photography. It was a very hot day and I made the mistake of wearing black pants and leaving my hair down! Emily and Sean’s super fun personalities made me forget about the fact that I was sweating profusely. They both graduated from DePauw and are seriously two of the nicest people I have ever met! When I met Emily on their wedding day, the first thing I said was, “You are the cutest little bride I have ever seen!” When she replied, “And you are the cutest photographer I have ever seen!,” I knew that we were going to get along great. :-)

One of my favorite moments in a wedding day is right after the bride and groom have exited the ceremony. Here’s why…
All of their family and friends at the ceremony!
Emily and Sean chose not to have a first look before the ceremony and instead planned a large amount of time between the ceremony and reception for photos. We had almost 2 hours to do formal shots with the family and creative shots with the bridal party, and just bride and groom. A first look is a great way to have plenty of time for all of those photos, but if you choose not to do that, consider planning a timeline like Sean and Emily. Everyone was relaxed and there was no rushing around!
Did I mention that they were super fun?

They tried to tell us that they never look good in photos. I think we might have proved them wrong…
See Emily’s grandmother in the far left hand corner of this shot? She was hilarious and danced the night away like it was nobody’s business! I probably have the most shots of her out of anyone on the dance floor!

I love every picture but I especially loved these last pictures where they are totally into each other on the dance floor with everyone else dancing around them. It’s truly romantic…as if they are the only people in the room. I love that. I also love the fun shots and the one with the Bride/Bridesmaids feet and bouquets. They are all so good!
