Chicago Engagement | Andy + Kristin

Majoring in the same field in college, they had classes together and hung out with mutual friends. It wasn’t until they both got called onstage at a local hang-out joint to impersonate Dolly Parton (don’t ask) that they knew it was something more than just a friendship. Funny how the most random occurrences can bring two people together. ;-)

When Andy and Kristin said they wanted to bring James and I out to Chicago for their engagement session, we were super stoked! We love traveling and we love meeting couples that are just awesome! The weather was absolutely perfect on the day of their shoot and we had such a great time running around the city of Chicago. We started out at a park near their home…

They of course had to bring along their baby, Milo. As you can see, he’s a huge Bengals fan. :-)

Um, yes, Kristin needs to become a model ASAP.

I can already tell how awesome the details at their wedding next May will be just from the items they thought to bring for their engagement shoot!

I found out what a good juggler Andy is. And that he makes Kristin laugh. :-)

Kristin made the super cute cupcakes!

GORGEOUS!!!!!!!

WAY too cool for school.

Just a regular ‘ol day at the park for Milo…

After the park they did a quick outfit change and we took the “L” downtown.

We took these while moving, which meant there was a bit of stumbling around trying to keep our balance!

Kristin had picked out a rooftop area with a great view of the city for us!

If this was James and I, this would be on canvas hanging in our house. Love. Love. Love.

WARNING: Do not try this at home! We waited until traffic cleared and then ran out in the road… James stood by on watch and yelled when it was time for us to get out!

We cut through this alleyway to get to the Palmer House Hilton and it turned out to be my favorite place of the day!

Pretty sure this would be my favorite. How gangsta are they?!?

I’ve never even seen the show, but I totally feel like that they should be on an episode of Mad Men.

Inside the beautiful Palmer House Hilton.

So fierce.

Thank you both for showing us around the city, taking me on my first Metro bus ride, and for being so laid back and relaxed!!!
