I’ve been drooling over the
Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera body for about a year now, and I’m happy to report that I am finally a proud owner of one! Like the
Canon EOS 5D that I have primarily been using, the Mark II has a compact body with a full-frame sensor. One of the best parts of the 5D Mark II is that it has 21 megapixels, a fairly large upgrade from the 5D’s 12.8 megapixels. Some of the other cool features in the 5D Mark II include a larger LCD screen (3 inches), a higher capacity battery, and an ISO range of 100-6400 (the 5D goes up to 3200). Probably the coolest feature of all for me is the fact that you can record movies on it in 1080p! The movie-making quality is so good that the last episode in the 6th season of the TV show
House was filmed on one! I plan to practice the video mode with my cats– they just love being in front of the camera. :-)
