I first met Katie at the school I worked in last year. She is an awesome teacher and has such a sweet spirit. When Katie asked about doing some family photos I was excited to see their new addition, as she had been pregnant with him for much of the school year. Poor little guy wasn’t feeling so well on the day of our shoot, but stuck it out and looked super cute the whole time. :-)

We met up with the Eastburn’s at their family farm and had a great time walking around to find cool shooting locations. When James and I arrived, we realized that we run by their house quite frequently, but had no idea it was theirs!

Towards the end of our shoot I suggested doing a few shots of just Mark and Katie. I know that most couples don’t have many professional photos taken of them after their wedding day, so I wanted to give them something to mark this time in their life together as a couple. I usually try and do this in most family sessions, so long as the kiddos are under control, but I also do “anytime shoots” for couples who want their photos together just because! James babysat while I snapped away and I just love how these turned out…
