I met Erin in high school and we became good friends right away. We both hung out with a particular group of friends that still get together each year at Christmas and at other times throughout the year. When I went to Cincinnati recently for the annual Christmas party (which involved cookie decorating, eating a ton of delicious food, and a LOT of laughing) I stopped by Erin’s house to photograph the most recent addition to her family. She and her husband Ryan are the proud parents of baby Carter! He is almost seven months and is becoming quite the busy body, crawling throughout the house and pulling himself up on furniture!

He has the cutest little expressions, as you can see.

Every time I look at this picture it cracks me up! He appears to be thinking very hard about something…

Story time!

Since the weather wasn’t too cold that day we went outside for just a few minutes to grab some shots in the last bit of natural light. It was starting to get dark, but that’s why I love the 5D Mark II— it does amazing things in low light!

Oh yes, and I happen to love a good baby hat. Too cute. :-)
