Although they attended the same high school together, it wasn’t until several years after graduation when a mutual friend invited them to the same get-together that they really got to know each other (funny how that works). They hit it off and found themselves playing tennis together on their first official date. Sunny jokes that Jeff picked something that he was good at so that he could show off for her! Apparently it worked. ;-)

She thought that she would know when he was planning to propose, but when he asked her to “go back to their roots” and play a game of tennis, she had no idea that she would soon have a ring on her finger. Jeff had carefully planned out the proposal, putting the ring in a tennis ball and asking her to be his wife while he pretended to put things in his bag!

We had a great time “going back to their roots” again and starting Sunny and Jeff’s engagement session at a tennis court….

How is it that all of my brides have such amazing hair?? Sunny has my dream hair cut. :-)

They brought along the actual tennis ball from the proposal and showed us exactly how it all went down…

One of their favorite things to do together is play board games together. They brought along a couple of their favorites and had a friendly competition in the park.
