Halfway to 50!

The past week has been SO busy, yet so fun at the same time. I got to be a part of one of my best friend’s wedding, which was actually a 4-day event for those involved in the bridal party. We had such a great time and I am sad that the whole shin-dig is over. I can’t decide what my favorite part was, between going to the spa, riding in the super fun “party bus,” getting my hair done (insert several inside jokes right here for those present), dancing the night away at the reception, or just getting to be a part of the beautiful ceremony.

Then, after coming home from the wedding festivities I celebrated my 25th birthday! To be honest, “25” makes me begin to feel a little old. You’re into that “mid-twenties” category, and actually have to start acting like a mature adult (or at least pretend to). There was no big party this year, but my birthday was still very special thanks to family and friends.

It started off with my Mom getting me a “sampler” cheesecake– my favorite dessert! I usually have to really think about what flavor cheesecake to ask for, so this made it easy with four different flavors! For my birthday dinner we met up with friends at BJ’S, one of my new favorite restaurants. Their Angel Hair Toscana is AMAZING. The best part of the day was coming home to my house covered in post-it notes from my husband. I know, sounds weird, but let me show you what I mean…

This is what was on the door:

And he wrote a reason on every single post it note! Here are just a few of my favorites:

How sweet was that?!? I have the best husband. :-) Gentlemen, take this idea and run with it!

And here we are out to dinner with our close friends, Abby and Lou. I realized after asking the waitress to take our picture that the battery in the SLR camera that I brought with me was dead! Luckily, I had my point and shoot in my purse too…

Can you tell from my cards that I like cats??

And here I am blowing out the candle on one of my delicious pieces of cheesecake! Thanks Mom!

And just so everyone knows, I don’t sleep with my eyes all the way open– only half open… and I can’t help it. ;-)

Thanks for all of the cards, gifts, and “Happy Birthday’s” via the internet and in person. It was a great day!

-Jenna
