They met while in college at Anderson University. He worked in the Wellness Center and she liked to pretend to work out in order to “meet people.” One day while pretending to work out, Abby overheard a conversation Lou was having with someone about having formerly been in the circus. She couldn’t help but laugh out loud and said, “You were not in the circus!” Apparently she caught Lou’s eye because he said “yes” when she asked him out on a “Roommate Date Night” a couple months later. :-)
Fast forward 7 years and the happy couple has just celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary and are expecting their first child! You may remember Abby from her co-baby shower with her sister that I blogged about last month. I am especially excited about the birth of their baby because Abby and I have been friends since Kindergarten. We grew up going to the same church together and later high school. We were basically inseperable at any church event or trip, and were known to put on a “performance” or two. We have shared ALOT of laughs over the years and will continue to, as we now live within 10 minutes of each other after living in different states for the past several years!
We had a blast taking pictures at an old mill and around a local farm. These two are a lot of fun and I know that they will be amazing parents! You will see a lot more of Abby and Lou, as well as their new addition as soon as he decides to make his arrival! Be sure to leave some love for these two in the comments section- they totally rocked it out as models!!
P.S.- In case you are wondering, Lou really was in the circus… can you guess what he did?? Answer is at the bottom of this post. ;-)
Think you figured out what it was that Lou did in the circus??? If you guessed a “juggler” then you are correct! Abby tells me that he still has some mad juggling skills…
Have a great weekend!

These pictures are AMAZING!! What a beautiful couple. :-)
Jenna, you do great work. Keep it up!
Jenna, I am sincerely amazed every time I view your work. I really hope someday you can photograph our family. I have seen the work of many photographers and yours is my absolute favorite. You have been given a natural talent and though you tell the stories well through the pictures you take, I also love reading a little bit more behind the scenes on your blog. You have found your niche!
