If you live near Indianapolis, you know just how weird our weather has been recently. Not really any snow to speak of, but coooooooold temps and ice as of late. We’ve had a few days with sun here and there, but overall it’s been just plain dreary. I am a total sunshine and warm weather type of girl, so this time of year is always hard for me to find motivation to go outside– as in, I pretty much go into hibernation! My body and cold weather just do not have a good relationship together.

I decided yesterday to brave the cold and take my camera and 100mm macro lens outside. My goal was to find beauty in the midst of the brown drabness (is that even a word?) as I walked around our yard. I decided that I’m going to continue to challenge myself to do different photo projects throughout the rest of the winter in an effort to keep my creative brain wheels turnin’, so lookout!

P.S.- Had to throw my ring in one shot to add a little bit of sparkle. ;-)
