June was such a busy month that I totally forgot to post our 3 x 12 Project photo! Ooops!! The big thing for the month of June was that Jack went on his first plane ride! The 3 of us traveled to Cincinnati and Indianapolis to visit friends and family, as well as shoot a wedding. Well, James and I shot the wedding while Jack stayed with his grandparents for the day. :-) Although I was initially quite nervous about flying with an infant, Jack did great! I’m hoping he continues to do good on a plane as he gets older because we have a few more trips planned for the rest of the year.
It was nice getting back into the swing of things with shooting, and although I’ve kept my schedule light for the rest of this year, I’m looking forward to the other weddings I have coming up! It’s definitely different to figure out how to work + take care of a baby at the same time, but I’ve enjoyed the challenge. Let’s just say, when nap time comes I get a lot more done in 1-2 hours time than I ever did before!
We also spent a good bit of time at the pool in June, which has been oh-so-nice in this hot and humid weather! Although we went for the first time with Jack in May, June was when the water really got warm enough for my taste. :-) I like my pool water pretty much like bath water!! Anyways, we’ve had some nice evenings there and I’m looking forward to many more throughout the rest of the summer. Jack seems to really enjoy the water (especially the lazy river) and he looks way too adorable in his cute little swim outfits!
Our picture for this month just cracks me up every time I look at it! Although you can’t tell from this image, Jack is FINALLY enjoying tummy time much more now. I can actually get him to do it for 10-15 minutes a few times a day without fussing. He is also enjoying rolling from his tummy to his back when he’s had enough of being on his tummy! Now that he’s 4 months old he has begun to figure out how to express his emotions to get what he wants, and on this particular day we had a combination of being done with tummy time and being ready for a nap. :-)
