I am so excited to share Katie and Jackson’s wedding at The Mackey House in Savannah because it was OH SO BEAUTIFUL!! These two are just the sweetest couple and I loved watching them together on their big day! Katie did such a wonderful job picking out the gorgeous florals, bridesmaid dress colors, and her own dress was beyond stunning!
I was so grateful that we had such great weather, as November can be very hit or miss in Savannah, especially for an event where everything is outdoors. Not only was the temperature perfect, but we also had a beautiful sunset which gave us some warm, glowy images after the ceremony as the sun was setting!
Sit back and enjoy some of my favs from their day…
I’m always on the lookout for great surfaces to shoot details on. Who new that a concrete floor could serve as such a great background?!?I love it that Katie’s grandmothers came in to see her as she was getting her dress on. I love these precious family moments that will be remembered forever!Katie’s dress was a complete HOME RUN. Like, seriously one of my favorite dresses I’ve ever had a bride wear! There’s something about a lace sleeve matched with a long veil that gets me so excited to photograph the bride!!Urban Poppy provided all of the lovely flowers for the day. From the arrangement on the arbor, to the bouquets and garters, and reception centerpieces, there were beautiful florals all throughout!Katie and Jackson were trying so hard to keep it together when she came down the aisle. There’s always such a rush of emotions when the bride makes her way to her groom! The wedding was officiated by a close family friend who had personal stories and thoughts to share, which of course brought everyone to tears! The lighting was just perfect right as these two walked down the aisle! We took some time to grab portraits as the sun was going down and apparently the geese wanted to be in a few photos as well. :-)SWOONING. I love the way the bridal bouquets tied together with the overall color scheme! Such a great Fall combo without being too “Fall-ish.” Wicked Cakes of Savannah always does such a great job! Not only was the cake pretty to look at, but oh-so-yummy as well! Not gonna lie, the Mother-Son dance gets me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I guess that’s what happens when you are a boy mom!!Katie’s sister’s speech was hilarious! I love listening to speeches at a wedding because I always learn a whole lot more about my couples. It’s a bigger bonus when there’s a lot of laughs involved as well!
Katie and Jackson: Thank you again for having me capture your wedding day! It was such an honor to work with you two and I wish you the very best in your married lives!!
