Chicago Trip

This past weekend James and I had the opportunity to go to Chicago to shoot an engagement session for some of our 2011 wedding clients! While their shoot won’t be up until later this week, I wanted to share a few of our personal pictures from the trip. We had absolutely gorgeous weather while in town, and had so much fun exploring the city! The last time we were in Chi-town together it was freeeeezing cold, so we didn’t do much sight-seeing.

Oh, and FYI- James wanted me to title this post, “Make some Illinois,” and he pronounced it “Illi-noise.” Haha. I told him I’d think about it…

Some of you may recognize these… there were literally hundreds lining the interstate along our drive. We were pretty intrigued. ;-)

Of course, the first place we had to go to when we got into town was the water. Lake Michigan was looking beautiful!

This is the photo I’ll use to get into the next James Bond movie…

Our first time riding the ferris wheel on Navy Pier. Not gonna lie, it was a little scary!

The view from atop the ferris wheel.

We love you Chicago!

I’ve realized that we need to find a new pose for pictures…. see 5th picture from top. Also, don’t judge my sweater around my neck. It was cold. Then it got hot. I’m really not that preppy. ;-)

I got to experience a couple of “firsts” while in Chicago…

#1: Riding in a Metro Bus! Pretty sure I’ve ridden every other form of public transportation, but this was a first for me. As you can tell, I was pretty stoked. Both new and used buses looked magnificent.

#2: Getting a meat and cheese platter at a restaurant. Thanks to our awesome clients, Andy and Kristin, I was in appetizer heaven!

Hope you had a great Labor Day weekend!
