Most years on Christmas we find ourselves away from home, traveling hours to see our various relatives scattered throughout the country. This year our schedules didn’t allow for travel but we were fortunate enough to have  many family members come to us on Christmas and the week surrounding it. We started the day yesterday at church, remembering why we celebrate Christmas in the first place, then enjoyed a delicious meal with my parents, exchanged presents, and dozed away off and on while watching Christmas movies. We finished the day with a glass of egg nog (or a few glasses in some of our cases) and watched some of our favorite shows. It was a good day. :-)
