Indianapolis Family Portraits: Robards Family

When we left Greenwood to head to downtown Indy for this family photo shoot the weather was perfect. As we neared our location of choice, we saw clouds looming overhead, and by the time we got there it was pouring down rain! We were determined to not let the rain cancel the shoot, so we drove to another part of downtown where the skies were clear. We could see the storm coming so we literally rushed around shooting for about 15 minutes before we were forced to seek cover and wait for the storm to let up before we could run back to the car! At one point the wind was literally blowing so hard, gravel from the road was hitting us so fast it hurt! The Robards were such troopers and made the whole experience so much fun. I promised them some more shooting time on another day when we’re not running from a storm. :-) Despite the conditions we still managed to get some great shots of this beautiful family, so enjoy!

Taylor has some very loving older sisters…. who also used to play dress up with him when they were little. Shhhh, don’t tell him I told you!

Doesn’t she have such a great smile?!?

And here comes the storm from behind…

These sisters are super close and just happen to be super cute as well!

Work it girls!

So James had the idea to model one of their shots after this famous Beatles picture. I think it turned out pretty cool!

I had to put this one in just to show you the ridiculousness of the wind!! Plus, this picture makes me laugh. ;-)

Thanks for being so awesome, Robards family!! We had a blast and can’t wait to shoot some more.

P.S.- The storm even followed us home!! We stopped by the famous Mrs. Curls when we got back to Greenwood (which is an outdoor ice cream shop), and while we are waiting in line it started pouring AGAIN. This is the point when James decided it would be funny to hold the umbrella away from me so that I would get soaked. Real funny. You could have heard his loud laughter a mile down the road. Oh, well, we were making memories, right??

love them all! i was cracking up at the windy one because Taylor’s pose makes it look like he is yelling at the sky or something.. haha! So fun and hopefully our next shoot goes better. :)
