Ellie and Jake’s wedding day started out as a HOT one… as in over 90 degreeeeeees!!! What’s funny is that we were all freezing cold at their engagement session last fall. Guess these two work best in extreme weather conditions!

The colors they chose were perfect for a beautiful summer day!

Jake had such a sweet look on his face when he saw Ellie for the first time… I also love his little nephew peaking around to see her. ;-)

The wedding ceremony took place at St. Pius X Church, which was nicely air conditioned. ;-)

Right after the ceremony we stopped by Ellie’s hou– I mean Ellie and Jake’s house for a few photos and an “official carrying over the threshold” moment. I made the mistake earlier in the day of calling it “Ellie’s house” and Jake jokingly corrected me that it was also his house now too. ;-)

Man, oh man, was this bridal party awesome! It was BLAZING hot outside and they all had great attitudes, even though I know they were sweating to death! They must really love Ellie and Jake. :-)

The reception was at the beautiful Ritz Charles Garden Pavilion in Carmel.

I always love the speeches at weddings… really helps me get to know the bride and groom even better!

Right after this next picture was taken, a crazy storm blew in overhead!
