What was thought to be a potentially chilly date turned out to be a gorgeous, and almost summer-like, March day for Taylor and David’s wedding this past weekend! I really enjoyed getting to know these two at their engagement session in Chicago this past fall and was SO excited to see them again. I honestly don’t know how I keep getting to work with the sweetest couples, but Taylor and David are certainly no exception!
The bridal party got ready in the beautiful Columbia Club, where they later came back to after the ceremony for the reception. It just so happened that the wedding fell on St. Patrick’s Day and I don’t think any of us realized just how crazy things would be downtown! Streets were blocked off and everyone, I mean everyone was wearing green. Not only were they wearing green, but the streets were a mass of beaded necklaces, shamrock glasses, leprechaun hats, green and white striped socks, and I even saw a guy wearing shamrock covered pants!
Taylor just happens to be super talented and designed her invitations, incorporating in the vintage 20’s/art deco theme seen throughout the day…
Not only is she talented, this girl is seriously GORGEOUS!
David donned the custom cuff links he received from his bride. (They went to school together in Columbia, MO).
Taylor and David chose to see each other before the ceremony and it was such a sweet moment…
They decided to have a little rehearsal for their dance later in the evening. :-)
Is it just me or do these two look like models straight from the roaring 20’s?!?
Just before the ceremony Taylor put on her hand-made veil that she plans to turn into a family heirloom. Soooo pretty…
We grabbed a few more portraits of the newlyweds right after the ceremony while the sun was beginning to set.
Taylor’s dad joked about having to hold up this sign because he has not one, but TWO daughters getting married in 2012! I am honored to be photographing Taylor’s sister’s wedding later this year, so you’ll be seeing more of this awesome family!
Love this shot that Brandy captured of David’s dad looking on while he danced with his mom…
Taylor and David- Hope you two are having a blast in Riviera Maya! Thank you SO much for having me be a part of your day. :-)

Jet and his wife are so talented and easy to work with (which is super important when they’re following you around all day)! I can’t WAIT to see their final product from this wedding!
P.S.- I’m not really a super short person, I was just wearing flats. ;-)
