I met Shelly and Jason my freshman year of college. Shelly lived just down the hall from me and we both played on the basketball team. We had SO many fun times together hanging out in the dorms and traveling on basketball trips! I got to know Jason through Shelly, as they dated all throughout college. They recently had a baby and wanted some pictures together as a family. I took a little trip to visit them and got to meet their new addition, Layla, who just happens to be adorable. :-)

I was a little nervous what the weather might be like on the day we had planned for the shoot, being that it was in early November, but it couldn’t have turned out any better! If you’re thinking about getting family photos next year, plan to book your session 1-2 months in advance as the dates fill up quickly! In order to provide all of my clients with the best service possible, I accept a limited amount of portrait sessions each month. :-)

Jason and Shelly are such good parents and it was so fun for me to capture their growing family…

Poor little Layla was recovering from being sick at the time of our shoot (as many babies are this time of year), so even though she didn’t feel the greatest you couldn’t tell because she was all smiles!
