Last month James and I got to spend a couple of days in his homeland of Michigan. We saw family and spent a day on the water– two of our favorite things to do.

Here are a few shots from our trip… All of these were taken with a Panasonic DMC-LX3 (I mention this to show that you can make great memories with a pocket camera). :-)

Let me explain this one… I’m walking down the street and then all of sudden, BAM! there’s a hairless cat (Sphynx) being WALKED ON A LEASH!!! I mean, you don’t see that on an everyday basis, now do you? The cat was actually super sweet and the owner let me hold it for a while. Totally random. :-)

Then, when I put the cat down we notice this itty bitty baby mouse! It was sooooo cute (don’t worry, the cat didn’t get it). It’s mom ran under a light post while we were all standing there, so we left it alone so that she could come back.

For those of you who know the animal lover side of me, you know that my day was made after these two occurrences. :-)

Ahhhhh… Can’t wait till next summer to do it all over again! Happy weekend. :-)
