As I’m sitting here looking through all of my photos and videos from our trip to Haiti I’m wishing we were still there. The trip flew by way too fast and I miss the children, the beautiful countryside, and the relationships that we had begun building. I’m already thinking of when I could go back and how I could do more next time.
It’s nice to be back and enjoy the comforts of my own home, but I feel spoiled. I’m still trying to process everything I saw and experienced there to figure out what would be most effective for me to do for the people and the work being done in Peredo.
It’s hard to narrow down the hundreds of pictures taken to best tell the story of our trip, so I have a feeling it will be done in more than one post (hope that’s ok with you). For now, here’s an image that makes me smile…

i felt the same way when i came back from the dominican republic from my nursing missions trip. i felt like i got sooooo much more from the trip than i would ever be able to give to it. it was a life-changing experience and would LOVE to go back to see the people that i had the opportunity to meet. i can’t wait to see more of your pictures and i’ll try to post mine. i can’t wait to talk to you and james and compare experiences :)
I think anyone who has ever been on a Missions Trip can relate to this post very much.
Jenna, You said everything I have felt these past two days. I thought at first the week could not go fast enough, but after about Wednesday I am thinking a trip back would be great! It has been hard to see how much we have and how little they have and feel like it’s ok. Loved getting to know you and James even more – Love ya both!
