Every day we follow the same routine. Get up, go downstairs and get breakfast. If I don’t wake up on time, they make sure to come and meow in my face. I head into the office to get started on my work day. After they’ve finished eating I’m entertained by a small wrestling match in the office floor between the two look-a-likes (Lucy and Griffin). Hazel will watch from the other room, not interested in participating.

A half hour or so goes by of wrestling, chasing, and a little hissing. Then it’s quiet. I plug away at the computer as they sleep, dreaming of mice and birds. At least one will be curled up on the office couch, with the others in a room close by. Sometimes they’ll share the fuzzy blanket or take turns sitting perched on the back of the couch looking out the window.

Throughout the day each one will jump up on my desk to help me at the computer. A few keys will be pressed, the screen will be swatted at, and “chirping” noises will be made to let me know it’s time to pet. My head will dart back and forth to see the screen as one paces in front of me, often sticking a rear end in my face. Some people would be extremely annoyed by all of this. Me, I don’t mind at all. They’re my little helpers and I wouldn’t have it any other way. :-)
