Once a month I get to hang out with an awesome group of photographer friends known as the Indy SHARE group. Not only are we all photographers, but we are also what is known as Showiteers. We all use a company call Showit to design our websites, hence how the name Showiteers came about. :-)

Beyond giving us the tools to make it easy for us to build and maintain our sites, Showit has gone above and beyond to create an amazing community of photographers that help one another and provide encouragement. What started as an online community of sharing and networking has now evolved into face-to-face group meetings across the U.S.! I first got on board to lead the Indy chapter of SHARE (Showit group) almost a full year ago. Our first “official” meeting was last month, but my group got a head start and began getting together a few months before. :-)

We do something a little different each month, but every time we get together I have so much fun just talking “shop” with other photographers, learning from them, and building relationships. Last night was a shoot-out, and since it was already dark by the time we got together we decided to pull out some off-camera lighting and play! The weather was warm enough to start outside, but as soon as we couldn’t feel our fingers anymore we moved the party indoors…
