Soho South Cafe Wedding | Forsyth Park Portraits

Soho South Wedding with portraits in Forsyth ParkOne thing I love about the wedding industry is the fact that I have had the opportunity to meet so many different photographers that I can work with and learn from, and vice versa. When I have a free weekend I really enjoy getting the chance to second shoot for my photographer friends! It gives me a chance to support them in their businesses, as I have several that support mine throughout the year by second shooting for me! It’s a win win for everyone!

Portraits in Forsyth Park

This gorgeous wedding is one that shot with my sweet friend Danielle from Danielle George Photography. We shot the portrait portion of the day in Forsyth Park, located in downtown Savannah. Forsyth Park is such a beautiful place for wedding photos with it’s big oak trees, dripping Spanish moss, and lush green grass. It’s always fun to find new ways to shoot there each time I go! Not only is it a great place for portraits, but you can even have your wedding in Forsyth, right in front of the famous fountain in the center of the park! Just an idea for anyone planning a Savannah wedding and needing location ideas. :-)

First Looks

Most people know about a First Look between a bride and groom, but did you also think about the fact that it can super special for the bride to have a First Look with her Dad?!? I love watching this moment at every wedding that chooses to do this. Such a SWEET time for the bride’s dad to get to see her for the first time all dolled up in her wedding dress!

The reactions are always so different at every wedding and I just love getting to capture this big moment on camera!First Look with Bride and Groom Bride and groom in Forsyth Park. How gorgeous is her dress??? I am absolutely in LOVE with dresses that have any sort of lace detail on them. I just think it gives such an elegant, romantic touch, and photographs beautifully!Happy bride in Forsyth Park.Bride and groom portraits in Forsyth Park in Savannah, GA. The ladies had such a pretty shade of blush on and I love that they chose different style dresses, with the maid of honor having a print on hers! This is such a great way to not only add more visual interest to your wedding party’s attire, but also a wonderful way for bridesmaids to choose a style that is most flattering to them. And of course you can’t go wrong with a good tux on the guys!Happy wedding party in Savannah, Georgia Black and white wedding party photos Wedding party walking in Forsyth Park. After portrait time we headed over to Soho South Cafe in downtown Savannah, where the ceremony and reception was hosted. Soho is such a unique, eclectic venue that can be styled in so many different, beautiful ways! It has sort of an industrial feel to it, yet is also cozy and colorful. If you’ve never explored Soho before you need to check it out and grab a meal there!Groom seeing bride walking down the aisle.I love it that Allison chose to have both her Mom AND Dad walk her down the aisle! The Reception

After the wedding, the guests moved out to the front portion of the cafe for Cocktail Hour, while the ceremony room was transformed into the reception space! I love the unique chairs that Soho uses for their receptions– they have such a fun vibe!Soho South wedding reception
