Something old, yet new to me

We have been looking for the perfect light fixture to hang above the dining room table for quite a while now and last week we finally found it at the Southport Antique Mall! If you live in the Indianapolis area and have never been there, you have to check it out! You could literally spend hours there browsing the seemingly endless array of antique furniture, collectibles, and other goods. The place doesn’t look huge from the outside, but once you step inside the rooms just keep going and going! The staff was super friendly and the owners just happen to be a really cool family. ;-)

I had this picture in my mind of a white chandelier with crystals hanging off of it. This one didn’t come with the crystals, so I added them on myself. Did you know that they make magnetic crystals for light fixtures??

I think I may still add some more crystals later on, but those little things are not cheap! I also thought of stringing a strand of them across the fixture, but haven’t come across something like that yet…

The chandelier is old and has it’s imperfections, but that’s what makes it unique!

And here she is all lit up! I love the design it makes on the ceiling.

Happy Monday!
