Last week James and I had the opportunity to attend WPPI Las Vegas for the very first time. I’ve been wanting to go to this photography conference ever since I first heard about it from our wedding photographers a couple of years ago and had been eagerly awaiting the trip for the past 6 months. Although the trip to Vegas started out a little rough (our flight got cancelled, we ran around the airport like crazy people trying to find another one, went home to get 3 hours of sleep, then came back to the airport at 4am to get on a flight), it was such a great experience!

We got to hear from some AMAZING photographers like Jasmine Star…

Bambi Cantrell…

Jose Villa…

and Jerry Ghionis to name a few.

We hung out in the Showit lounge and watched an intense ping pong tournament…

ran into bobbi + mike (we had planned to go to their platform class, but couldn’t make it in time due to our flight getting cancelled)…

got this awesome fortune from the over-priced Asian restaurant…

and went exploring along the Strip.

Some of the most fun was had in getting to know other photographers. We had such a blast hanging out with our friends from Ada Photography!

While I was getting the camera set up on the ironing board (who uses a tripod???) I caught this…

Then we headed home and have slowly been getting back to a normal sleep schedule (the sticker on the window is for a contest I was taking this picture for).

All in all, it was a great trip and I can’t wait to go back again! Next up, pics from our photo shoot in the desert! :-)
