This month marks the start of another year of my 3×12 Photo Project! If you’re not familiar with what that is, it’s a personal project I decided to take on a few years ago when I realized I didn’t have many photos of just James and I together. We simply take a photo each month that represents what we were doing that month, where we went, etc. It’s been so fun to look back on and remember what we were doing throughout each year! The project grew by one person last year with the addition of baby Jack, so it changed from 2×12 to 3×12 (three people, twelve months in the year).

January was a fun month for us, as we had a chance to really unpack in our new house (we moved in 4 days before Christmas) and get settled. Our big “thing” of the month was taking a trip to Celebration/Orlando, FL with my parents! My dad wanted to celebrate his birthday by running in the Celebration Marathon (go figure), so we decided to make it a family affair and join them (watching of course, not running). While we didn’t do actual Disney World (waiting until Jack is a little older), we did visit Downtown Disney and had fun walking around there. It just so happened that the evening we went was slightly chilly, but the rest of the weekend was nice and warm!

We also got a chance to hang out with James’ sister, our brother-in-law, and niece and nephew while in town, so that was super fun! In addition to that we ran into my cousin, her daughter, and my Aunt, who just happened to be in town at the same time as us. We had a great time visiting with all of them!

The other big event in January was celebrating one year of us living in Savannah! Hitting that mark made me realize just how fast this past year went by and how much happened in that year (moving across the country, James starting a new job, having a baby, learning to be parents, buying our first house). It was a great year and I’m looking forward to what 2014 will bring!
