Some of my favorites from this sweet Savannah engagement session…
If you have been following my blog for a while, you may have thought that I stopped doing my 4 x 12 personal photo project, but alas, I did not! 2016 was the year of falling behind on blogging for me…. womp, womp. :-( Between keeping my two wild things alive and being their personal slave, along with running the shooting/editing/communicating part of my biz, plus my involvement with church, MOPS, playdates, travel, etc., the blog became the bottom of the totem pole. But just because I wasn’t sharing the pics as we went doesn’t mean we forgot to take them! I was adamant about making sure to get my photo each month, even if it meant that most of the months were taken on a cell phone!
This is one photo project that I intend to keep up with, as I really, truly cherish looking back over each year’s photos! I’ve been doing this since 2011 and have most of the years hung up on canvases in my house. We always get comments on them, and PEOPLE– this is so easy to do!!! You just need to grab a photo of everyone in your family once a month. ONE TIME. That is all. We enjoy seeing how the kids change from month to month, as well as remembering what we were doing each month.
So without further ado, here is our 2016 photo collage! Also, please note the change in the baby’s hair color from January to December; I promise we did not dye it!! ;-)
Christmas this year was such a fun one in our family! The boys are at ages that just made everything so exciting and this is the first year that Jack truly understood the real meaning of Christmas with the birth of Jesus. We had a low-key celebration at our house which was perfect. My Dad came in town to spend a few days with us (my Mom stayed with her parents who are not in great health), so the boys had a blast playing with Grandad. I sang in the choir at church that James put together for the weekend, so he and I were at church for both Christmas Eve services and the Christmas morning service. We made and decorated Christmas cookies, rode the golf cart around the neighborhood to look at Christmas lights, listened to Christmas music, opened presents, and enjoyed lots of yummy food– a great time was had by all! I hope you enjoyed a blessed Christmas with your family and friends!
I loved getting to be a part of Kasi and Jason’s wedding day just a couple weekends ago! They are such a sweet couple and I absolutely enjoyed working with them at the beautiful Mackey House. These two have a very special love story in that while they both reside in southern Georgia, it took going on a mission trip together to a foreign country for them to meet and fall in love! Here are some of my favorite images from their big day…
Absolutely stunning, Kasi!
*Special thanks to Esther Griffin for 2nd shooting with me.

Allison and Blake are such a sweet couple and I enjoyed getting to know them at their engagement session! I always enjoy doing these sessions with my couples because they are such a great way for us to get to know each other, and it’s also great practice for taking photos on the wedding day! Here’s a few of my faves from their session…
